About Fary Lochan:
Fary Lochan have been around since 2009 and are a relatively small distillery based in Jylland, Denmark. Their whisky is hand made following traditional scottish methods, with quality over compromise at every step. Their stills are designed and build in Scotland. They generally release 4 variations of whisky to match the seasons . Spring and summer are unsmoked whisky’s whilst the autumn and winter are smoked at 1,5PPM and 15PPM respectively using malt smoked from the burning of fresh nettles.
Come and join Thomas, our ambassador from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society here in Denmark, for one of the highlights of the new year.
This is THE event that we look forward to every year, each year we are surprised by the selection of whisky that Thomas finds for this tasting.
Thomas will take you through a journey of 8 hand picked whisky’s from the SMWS vaults in vejle. Each whisky from the society is a single malt single barrel cask strength whisky from the society. These whisky’s are bottled by the SMWS and outside partner bars, they are generally not available for sale to the public.
OPEN TO ALL
Often, SMWS events are restricted to members of the society, not this one – once a year we open the doors to everyone to join in with this tasting. Every year this tasting brings some fantastic examples of the whisky available from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, so come along and try some of the great SMWS whiskys.
You do not need to be an SMWS member to enjoy this great tasting …. everyone is welcome 🙂
After the event you will be able to talk to Thomas about the benefits of becoming a member of the SMWS.
There are just 30 places available, and it makes a great christmas gift, so this year we are putting it on sale a little earlier than usual..
Details of the bottles for the tasting will be announced on our facebook event page and in our mailing list once the final details are known – but dont let that stop you buying a ticket before they are all gone !
